The second annual Susquehanna Folk Festival is scheduled for July 26-28, 2019 at beautiful Roundtop Mountain Resort in Lewisberry, PA. Running Friday through Sunday, the schedule will be jam-packed with renowned folk performers as well as regional and local musicians. It’s a super-family-friendly festival, with concerts, dancing, workshops, jamming, an artisan marketplace, tasty food, and lots of hands-on activities. The festival is rain or shine as all seating areas are indoors or under a tent.

National acts include BeauSoliel with Michael Doucet, Cherish the Ladies, Dom Flemons, Hot Club of Cowtown, Kittel & Co. with John Doyle, Pride of New York, and WXPN’s Ian Zolitor as the main tent emcee.

There will be an Emerging Artist Showcase held featuring up-and-coming performers plus local and regional artists including Neidig, Koretzky, Gehret & Campbell, Bluestone, Irish Blessing, Michael Arthur, Shane Speal and the Snakes, Justin Angelo Band, and Debbi Kauffmann. We’ll have lots of activities for little folkies and their families including Spiral Q Puppet Theater, The Give and Take Jugglers, storytelling workshops with Bil Lepp, sing along with KLMN-tine, and crafts for families with York County Libraries.

Dancers can enjoy dancing all weekend including contra dancing with the fabulous New England bands The Faux Paws and The Stringrays, swing dancing, Cajun dancing , blues dancing, International Folk Dancing, and waltz and other couple dancing. Instrumentalist can enjoy an active schedule in the Pickin’ Place including Irish, blues, old-time and bluegrass jams and also take workshops with celebrated musicians on tin whistle, ukulele, fiddle, and guitar. Singers can participate in a song circle, harmony and community singing, and a shape note sing. Storytelling enthusiasts can enjoy performances by storyteller Bil Lepp as well as our first annual Liars Contest.

Beautiful handcrafted items will be for sale in the Festival Marketplace and there will be traditional craft demonstrations in the Craft Traditions Try-It Tent.
